Saffron from Afghanistan - Negin Saffron - 2.5 Gram Tin

Very lovely saffron presented elegantly. I used an ice cube to bloom the saffron for color and flavor. It also helped release the aroma as the ice cube melted. Also respect the nonprofit mission story - good cause.

The saffron is fragrant and rich. I usually use hot water to release the color and flavor, and you only need a couple of strands per serving to add a subtle flavor to a dish. I used it to make risotto, and it gave such a beautiful warm orange-red color and lovely aroma. It's beautifully presented, and I would feel comfortable giving this as a gift.

Comes in nice packaging but mine wasn’t sealed for some reason. I’m not sure if that’s how the seller shipped these or mine is a one off. The saffron itself is of decent quality and my mom used some to make dinner and she said it was good and like what she’s used to buying. She did mention that it’s a bit pricey so I’ll consider buying again when on sale. Overall I’m happy

The presentation of this saffron is like a gift. The cardboard box arrived in perfect condition and we'll keep it, as well as the tin inside it. And the saffron has plenty of flavor.

I think the price is very reasonable, as saffron goes. A luxury spice with a luxury presention.

The box this came in was lovely looking, I didn't even know what was inside as it didn't look like seasoning packaging. The tin is easy to open and close and seems like it'll keep the little bits of Saffron inside fresh till use. It has a great scent, rich and strong when I cracked open the tin. This has been lovely to bring some of my dishes up just a smidge, there is flavor in them so don't go crazy and start small then add to taste.
